Before the recent global banking crisis was upon
us (of which, I hasten to add, I do not think I had anything to do with these
turn of events), I did a number of pitch-and-go projects for RBS, Coutts and Natwest banks.
This work springboarded to client facing
workshops, involving presentations to the wealth management, investments,
private equity and personal banking teams, scoping the range of social media
research and design.
One
particular concern has been the internal structure of digital information,
client confidentiality and security. Proving that money is not the only
banking crisis, where employee time on Facebook could cast a new information and security crisis.
There is great potential here, some of which we
can see in action through the financial offerings that are now delivered to us
as the 'on-the-go' and 'on-demand' customer.
